Knowledge with practical purpose.

Dignity through work is at the heart of academics at HTS Witbank. A strong academic foundation prepares learners for further study and the workplace, while integrating academics and technology with loyalty, integrity and respect.

HTS Witbank partners with Human Progress Management (HPM) to give Grade 9 learners the opportunity to complete aptitude tests in preparation for their subject choices. HPM also offers an optional study-method course to learners on the school grounds. Parents are contacted individually.

Learners build foundations across nine subjects. Promotion guidance includes Home Language at Level 4, First Additional Language and Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy at Level 3, three other subjects at Level 3 and two other subjects at Level 2, subject to the official requirements.

Senior learners follow an academic programme alongside their chosen technical or academic subjects. The Grade 9 subject-choice booklet is available here as the single guide for Grades 10–12 choices.

HTS achieved a 100% pass rate: all 223 registered learners passed. 162 qualified for degree studies, 58 for diploma studies and 3 for a higher certificate. The school placed first in Emalahleni, second in Nkangala and third in Mpumalanga.
